CANADA - De heer Stoelwinder is op zoek.

Dear Editor,
I am John Stoelwinder and live in Smithers, British Columbia Canada. I was born on a ship in Harlingen Fr.
and moved to Canada in 1952 with Mother, Father, and fife brothers, one sister. And one sister and brother stayed in the Netherlands.
I do not really know how to approach you, I do write a little Dutch, But since I have had little or no schooling in Holland, en none here in Canada, (I am still in School here) (School of Hard Knox) at Age 85. But it never impeded my life, I have been to busy to let anything stand in my way, and retired 1997 from our own business of 31 years, dealing in Farm equipment.
Here is the reason I am writing you, I am married for 61 years to Wilhelmina Jager, who left Hippolietesehoef in 1951 with her Father Egbert Jager, Brother John, Sister Aneke. Wilhelmina is now the last one from the whole Jager family still living at age 86. and we are both doing well and keep active. Wilma, is wondering if there are still old timers living there who may remember them. She keeps asking if I could not e-mail some of the younger generations, such as Peter Hielkema's, Leen Jansen, Ploegers, Smid or Smit die hadden een smeederij :) Because her brother John worked there. Wilhelmina ( Wilma ) was also called (Zus) at home and by the neighbors, I know this is a far shot after all these years.

We would really appreciate it if trough your paper we could find out a bit more about wilma's old stomping grounds, I was going to copy some interesting items from your paper, but I am not so good on this thing any more, I am trying to get it on Face-Book. I will try again!
